JANET Videconferencing Equipment Framework Agreement Guidelines
Overview
JANET(UK) has put in place a framework agreement with Direct Visual Ltd for the supply and maintenance of videoconferencing equipment. This framework allows eligible organisations to purchase videoconferencing equipment from Direct Visual Ltd without launching another procurement activity so long as the procedure outlined here is followed.
Term
The framework agreement commenced on the 31st January 2008 and continues for an initial term of three years and may be extended for up to a further two years by JANET(UK).
Eligible Organisations
These are any public sector and related organisations in the United Kingdom that are eligible for WVN or JVCS support. They can be primary connected sites or public sector organisations such as schools that have been provided with access to JVCS support.
Scope of Services and Equipment
Direct Visual Ltd will supply equipment and services related to the provision of videoconferencing capabilities including:
- the supply of audio visual, control and videoconferencing networking equipment;
- the supply of maintenance services for audio visual, control and videoconferencing networking equipment; and
- the supply of training relating to the use of the services and equipment supplied.
Procedure for Purchase
The details of the services and equipment may change from time to time (within the scope defined above). The list of equipment and services is maintained by Direct Visual Ltd and is available to eligible organisations on the web at:

The purchase will require the use of a simple contract (.doc) between the purchaser and Direct Visual Ltd. This simple contract is issued under the arrangements made in the main contract (.pdf) between JANET(UK) and Direct Visual Ltd.
